DMCA Notice

Last updated: 2026-06-09

Katwars respects the rights of copyright holders. If you believe a kitten image on the site infringes your copyright, you can send us a takedown notice that complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512).

1. Designated agent

Send notices to our designated agent:

  • Email: xertive@gmail.com

Katwars operates as a personal project. Postal-address takedowns may be sent via the email above; we will respond from a postal address on request. We are working toward US Copyright Office agent registration (copyright.gov/dmca-directory); until registration completes, the safe-harbor defense under § 512(c) may be unavailable to us. We voluntarily honour valid notices in any case.

2. What your notice must include

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or someone authorized to act for them).
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g. a photograph and where it was originally published).
  • Identification of the infringing material — the URL of the kitten profile page on Kitten War, e.g. https://kitten-war.tomerregev.workers.dev/k/abc123.
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the right being infringed.

3. Counter-notice

If you believe your kitten was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice under § 512(g) to the same address. Include the items required by the statute (including consent to jurisdiction). We will forward your counter-notice to the original complainant; if they do not file a court action within ten business days, we may restore the kitten.

4. Repeat infringers

We may, at our discretion, terminate the upload privileges of users who repeatedly upload infringing content.
