These terms govern your use of Katwars. By visiting the site or uploading a kitten, you agree to them.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Katwars. By uploading a kitten you confirm you are 13 or older and that you have the right to share the image you are uploading (you own the photo, or you have permission from the photographer).
We run an automated NSFW classifier on every upload. We also accept reports from other users. A kitten that receives enough reports from independent sources is automatically hidden pending review. We may remove any kitten at our discretion. If your kitten is hidden in error, contact the address below.
You keep ownership of every photo you upload. By uploading, you grant us permission to display it on Katwars — in matchups, on leaderboards, on your kitten’s page, in share and preview cards, and on our own social accounts when we feature a kitten. That permission ends for new uses when you ask us to remove the kitten.
We do not license your photos for third-party AI or machine-learning training. Our robots.txt asks known training-corpus crawlers not to collect from this site. We also allow AI search assistants that fetch a page to answer someone’s question, since those can send people here. To be straightforward about the limit: robots.txt is a request, not a technical barrier, and anything publicly visible on the internet can be copied by someone who ignores it.
Votes are advisory. The ratings, ranks, achievements, and leaderboard standings are calculated from votes and shown for entertainment. We may rate-limit, pace, or reject votes that appear to be automated.
The site is provided “as is”. We make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that rankings reflect any objective truth about cat cuteness.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator’s liability for any claim arising out of your use of the site is capped at the amount you have paid us (which is zero — the site is free).
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
